MILESTONE

I remember taking these pictures. Emma had finally grown out of her basinet and it was time to move to her crib. She slept in her basinet right beside our bed for months. Moving to her crib in her own bedroom was a milestone.

Last night Emma reached yet another milestone. Yesterday evening Daddy turned Emma's crib into a toddler bed.

These milestones seem to keep coming and coming way too fast. Will they ever stop? I'm not sure I'm ready for her to grow up.

WHAT A PERFECT SATURDAY

We stayed in our pajamas till 2pm.

We went outside for a quick swim. Who needs a bathing suit?
We played at the park.
Had a stinky diaper change on the picnic tables.

Met a new friend also named Emma who was born the day after Emma Claire.

Did some more playing. We walked across a long bridge.

We ate dinner at a "taco trailer".

And dessert at the DQ.

PERFECT.

HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES

I've never been a big fan of fast food. I would never feed Emma a HappyMeal out of pure convenience. HappyMeals are pure junk. And I most certainly would never feed my child pure junk. So what does my child eat for a dinner-on-the-go? Scroll and see...

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

This year was Emma's first year participating in VBS. She had a blast... misbehaved and got into some sort of trouble everynight... but nonetheless she had a blast.

MONDAY NIGHT

Below is Emma after her first night of Bible School. They made sun visors for craft.

TUESDAY NIGHT

Here is Emma showing off her Tuesday night craft. The nursery kids made tambourines out of paper plates. They put cheerios in the middle of paper plates to make noise, umm, I mean music.

Every night they had a snack as well. Here is Emma eating the blue icing off of her cookie.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Wednesday night they colored pictures of Veggie Tales. Emma and Ava were best buds during VBS. Emma made sure of that... she would not let Ava out of her sight.

THURSDAY NIGHT


Thursday night was our last official night of VBS. Emma's class took a class picture on Tuesday night. So on Thursday night we decorated picture frames for their picture.


FRIDAY NIGHT


Family Night was Friday night. This is the night where the kids invite their families to come and see everything the had learned. The kids also sang their parents the songs they learned.

The church rented inflatables for Family Night. The kids had so much fun jumping. Emma did not. She is S-C-A-R-E-D of them!

NOT A THING TO WEAR

Emma and I ran to Target last week. I found a few things that I just had to try on. Target's dressing rooms are usually a disaster. Previous-tried-on-clothes thrown on the bench and floor. So after I tried on whatever I tried on I turn around and notice that Emma is trying something on herself. She had found a bathing suit top on the floor and decided it would be a good scarf.
