VBS

Emma's babysitter, Krysten, took Emma to Vacation Bible School at her church some mornings last week. Krysten said Emma had a blast!

We can't wait for our churches' VBS in a couple weeks.

Here are some pictures Krysten took for me.

Dancing in the pews! And I thought this was a Baptist church... haha!

ME A.P.

"Me A.P., Me A.P.", this is what Emma keeps saying over and over. Andrew's family drove many, many hours to visit at GreatGrandma Golden's this past week. His mom and dad drove 12 hours. His sister and her son, A.P., drove 9 hours. Emma adores A.P.. A.P., however, thought Emma was rather annoying. She kept running through the GreatGrandma Golden's house yelling "Me A.P., Me A.P." None of us are sure what she meant by this.

Emma did a lot of riding at GreatGrandma Golden's.

Aunt Sam & A.P.

Andrew's aunt Sheila brought her granddaughter, Preslee, to play with Emma and A.P.

Grandpa John

Grandpa John took the kids everyday to check on the cattle. A.P. taught Emma that a cow says "moooo".

Emma loves tractors! But I was surprised when she let Drew sit her on one.

I was even more surprised when she let Grandpa John start the thing and ride her around. She was in heaven!

Since everyone was together it was a great opportunity to get some family pictures.

Below is GreatGrandma Golden with her great-grandchildren Emma and A.P.

Andrew and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday. Grandpa, MeMaw, Aunt Sam, and A.P. watched Emma so Drew and I could go out to dinner.

They went to Dairy Queen.

Couldn't these two cuties be Dairy Queen models?

MULES AND HORSES

Emma and I went to MawMaw and PawPaw's this afternoon.
We went for a ride on the Kawasaki Mule.
She got to "drive" for the first time.

We stopped at Uncle Lendall's to see his horsies.
Emma is obsessed with horsies lately.
She fed them grass and thought it was so cool that they would eat it right out of her hand.
She kept offering the horsies grass and saying "Wanna bite? Wanna bite?"

A little funny from today:
While pulling out of the driveway this afternoon to go meet the new babysitter (which by the way I absolutely love!) Emma says "Mommy, I cold, I cold" It was 95 degrees today so I say "Emma you mean you're hot." She replies "Yeah, Mommy, I hot, I hot".

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Emma has the best daddy in the world and today we got to celebrate Father's Day with him.
As Emma was "helping" daddy open his gift this morning I couldn't help but think how much she has grown since last Father's Day.

Emma made Daddy's gift this year. We framed her handprints for him.
After church we headed to Daddy's favorite restaurant, Tequila's, for lunch.
We met Grandpa John and MeMaw for dinner at 17th Street. They got in town just in time for dinner. Grandpa John let Emma "help" open his Father's Day gift.

After dinner, we headed home then straight outside to play. Daddy taught Emma a new trick on her slide.... head first!!

Also, a big Happy Father's Day to the other best dad in the world... my dad! He's not only the best dad in the world but he's the best pawpaw in the world. My parents have been on vacation this week and will get back tomorrow. We can't wait to see them.

WELCOME TO THE CAR WASH....

Yesterday was hot, hot, hot!! We washed the car and truck. With lots of help of course.

We even ate lunch outside.

WHEN THERE IS A HEAT INDEX OF 105 DEGREES...

all there is to do is swim!! And swim we did. Thursday afternoon we swam at Aunty Pammy's house with the Browning kids.

And Friday afternoon we went with Penny and Talan to the Herrin Pool. The kids (and moms) had a blast!
