SEASONS CHANGE

Yesterday I put away most of Emma's summer clothes and some clothes that she had outgrown. I totally destroyed her room in the process.

And I think I now have more hangers than I know what to do with.
And more clothes than I have room to store. I got out all of her fall clothes and organized them in her armoire.
And her, well um, second closet. A girl can never have too many closets.
I don't think she's going to run out of things to wear this season.

What did Emma do while I was busy tending to her wardrobe? Well she pranced around the house in her tutu that she found in some old clothes.
She also found her mittens for this winter and thought she'd break them in.
Notice the black shoes she paired with the outfit. Looks like I will be picking out her outfits this season.

APPLE FESTIVAL PARADE

There's something so home-town-ie about a parade.

Maybe it's the police and firefighters...
Or maybe it's the cotton candy...
Maybe it's sharing your candy with a total stranger...
Maybe it's waving your American flag at our veterans as they pass...

Whatever it is... they sure are fun!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY AMELIA LAYNE! PART 2

Last night we went to Amelia's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
Here's the birthday girl herself...

The most adorable picture of the night!

After Chuck E. Cheese we had reservations at the Pasta House.
This girl is officially nuts!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY AMELIA LAYNE!

Sunday is Amelia's 5th birthday. Today I took Amelia out for her birthday lunch, just her and I.

She got to choose where we ate. Amelia picked Bennies. Not too many 5 year olds would choose Bennie's restaurant for their birthday lunch but I was happy!
After lunch, I took Amelia to ToysRUs to pick out her birthday gift. Since she's a member of the ToysRUs Kids Club she got a birthday crown and balloon. They offered to announce her birthday over the loud speaker but she told them no. She said she didn't want everyone knowing it was her birthday.

She couldn't find the perfect toy at ToysRUs so we headed to WalMart. No luck at WalMart either so we left and went straight to Target. Thankfully at Target she found a crawling babydoll that she decided she needed.

Tomorrow night we're all heading to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday party. Emma is very excited!

PUGGLES UPDATE

Emma's second night of Puggles did not go as well as last week. She only lasted about 15 minutes in class last night. Maybe next week.
Whether she goes to class or not, she looks awfully sweet in that Puggles shirt!

BLESSED

It's 1:15 p.m. Emma and I are home and back in our pajamas lounging.
Guess what we're doing this afternoon? NOTHING! Just how we like it.
Sure my house needs vacuumed, my toilet needs cleaned, my intables have fingerprints all over them, there are Dora dolls scattered all over my living room, my kitchen floor is sticky in various spots, there are clothes scattered on my closet floor BUT today I do not care! I am blessed!

A NIGHT OUT!!

Emma had a date last night. She got all dolled up so that she looked just right for her special guy. Who was her date you ask?

Well Daddy, of course! And, as you can see, she is crazy about him! Daddy and Emma went and ate their favorite food... Mexican!
I will have to make sure I have a talk with her so that she knows she can not love on her future boyfriends like she does Daddy.

Since Emma went on a date with my man I went out with the girls. A night out these days pretty much just consists of a night hitting the sales at the mall and dinner. We had so much fun. We three love our children more than life itself but sometimes it's nice to get together without the kids. No kids means we only have to worry about stuffing our mouths with food instead of five more mouths. And those other five mouths are a little more demanding than ours... well kinda.

WE LOVE OUR BABYSITTER

Emma and her babysitter, Karen, made cupcakes this week. Emma got to ice the cupcakes.

Emma ate all but 2. She graciously shared one with Drew and me.

While making cupcakes Karen said Emma went into her room. Karen followed Emma just in time to catch her stuffing her pockets full of Karen's change. Karen says "Emma, just what do you think you're doing?" Emma's replies (with pockets full of coins) "I goin to WahMot".

PUGGLES

Tonight Emma went to her very first big girl class at church. On Wednesday nights our church does the Awana Program. This year is our church's first year to do a 2 year old class called Puggles.
Here's a picture of Emma on her way to Puggles sporting her new bible.

Here's Emma and Ava in class. This was taken before class began. Emma and Ava were the first ones in class. Since Tonya and I are the Awana secretaries we have things to do before Awana begins so the girls will probably always be the first ones there.

There ended up being ten 2 year olds in Puggles tonight. Emma stayed in class for a little over an hour before she decided that she needed her Momma.... not bad for the first night! We can't wait till next week!

All Puggled Out!!
