13 WEEKS

I haven't talked much about this pregnancy on this blog. I'm going to try to post a weekly pregnancy update complete with pictures. No picture this week cause I'm too lazy to get up and take one. So here goes...

How far along: 13 weeks
Total weight gain: down 2 lbs, I think it's because not much sounds good. Plus I can't even find the energy to fix myself anything to eat.
Maternity clothes: not exactly. I can't button my regular pants. I'm wearing a lot of dresses so that I can put off wearing maternity clothes.
Gender: too early to find out. But right now if I had to guess I'd say a girl. All the gender tests say a girl... I know, I know... it's impossible for these tests to work but I have to admit I kinda think they do.
Movement: not yet. I thought I felt her/him the other day but since it's so early I guess it was just gas. I can not wait to feel her/him move. That is definately my favorite part of being pregnant.
Sleep: Definately no problem sleeping!! Just wish I could get more of it. Emma and I usually take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoons. I'm so happy she is still a napper.
Symptoms: Other than being tired ALL THE TIME I am feeling pretty great. I am a lot bigger than I was at this time carrying Emma. I would compare this 13 week belly to my 16 week belly with Emma. Crazy pregnancy dreams!
What I miss: Bigg Swiggs- Enough Said!
Cravings: K, this is so weird but I have been wanting wine... I know... weird! I'm not even a big wine drinker. I mean I like a glass of wine every blue moon but seriously I think if wine during pregnancy was okay I'd be an alcoholic right now! jk Oh yeah, and Bigg Swiggs. Unlike the wine I can give in to the Bigg Swigg craving every once in a while.
Best moment of the week: finally explaining to Emma that the baby is in Mommy's belly. I was kinda nervous to do this because I wasn't sure that she'd understand but I think she kinda got it... as much as a 2 year old can. She wanted to see the baby in my belly though, she tried to look through my belly button to see her/him. She also talked to the baby and was a little ticked because baby didn't talk back.
What I'm looking forward to: feeling the baby move

SOME CONVERSATIONS AT WALMART

Emma: "Mommy, Can I get candy?"
Me: "If you are a good girl while we shop then, yes, you may pick out some candy"
Emma: "I am good"
Me: "Yes, you are a good girl but I need you to keep showing me how good you are"
Emma: "Mommy, I am, but you wont let me be good"

Emma: "Mommy, do not put that in my castle"
Me: "Emma, this is a grocery cart, not a castle, therefore I have to put groceries in it. If you want this to be your castle then you must share your castle with our groceries."

MY LITTLE ORPHAN

Yesterday we were heading outside to clean out vehicles. Drew told Emma to go put some clothes on (she was in her pajamas) so she could come out with us.

This is what she put on.

Her shirt on backwards.

Her dress up skirt.

And her shoes on the wrong feet.

MOMENT OF INSANITY

I had a moment of insanity Tuesday night. I had this great idea to take Emma, Aden, Amelia and Ava to the Marion pool BY MYSELF. So I called Tonya and told her that I was going to get the kids from the babysitters on Wednesday and take them to the pool. I think her response was "Are you high right now?"

Anyway, we went and had a great time. Taking 4 kids to the pool wasn't that bad.

Aden spent most of his time jumping off the diving board as you can see if the picture below.
He's the white boy with his hand in the air getting ready to jump.

The girls and I just hung out in the kiddie pool.

Although we had fun it will probably be a while before I do it again with all of them.

A LITTLE BIASED

I know I'm probably a little biased but I'm sure there could be a modeling career in her future.

Does God make them any cuter than this?

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Today is Father's Day. Emma and I are both blessed with some rockin Dads!

I got Drew a new grill for Father's Day
but
Here is what Emma got her daddy for Father's Day.

Last year we framed her handprints. It sits on a shelf in Drew's office and he gets compliments on it all the time... Emma and I both agreed that his new gift will get just as many!

Here is Daddy opening his gift...

And Emma telling Daddy what it spells...

Looks like Daddy liked it!!

Then it was off to church, lunch and to swim.

LAST WEEKEND...

Last weekend MeMaw and Grandpa came for a visit.
The guys golfed and the girls shopped.
Emma loves her MeMaw and Grandpa and can not wait
till we go to the zoo with them in a few weeks...
it's all she talks about.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS... we haven't been up to much

1. Mother's Day- I didn't get any pictures of Emma and I on Mother's Day but here's what she made me in her Sunday School class and King's Kids at church.

2. Hanging out at the ballpark. With Amelia and Aden playing this year it's impossible for us to make every game but we sure do try.

3. Emma proved to be a Carnie again this year. She rode every kids ride at HerrinFest over and over.

4. Playing in her octopus sprinkler. She wouldn't get too close to it because she said it would "get her wet". When I told her that she had her bathing suit on so it was okay to get wet, she quickly let me know that she could not get her bathing suit wet.

5. Here we are going for a ride in MawMaw and PawPaw's Jeep. She loved it!!
