WHAT A FEW DAYS!

Things have been kinda crazy around here the past few days.
On Saturday my Dad had a heart attack. He came home yesterday evening.
We are so thankful to have him home and so thankful that he's doing so well.

Last week Baby Drew had a raw butt. It was horrible and I had no clue how it happened. Babies that young usually dont get diaper rash so I felt so bad. She cried so bad when I'd change her diaper so I decided to just use soft deposable cloths to clean her bottom. I'd wet a couple and use another one to dry her with. Finally after a few days it had cleared up a little bit. I decided it was okay to use her wipes again. Within a few hours her little butt was all red and raw again. Being the genius that I am (ha) I finally figured out that she's allergic to her wet wipes. So we're sticking with using our own wipes. I bought those round cotton wipes that you use to remove makeup and we're wetting those to clean her. I'm hoping it's just the Pampers brand wipes that she's allergic to and that eventually we can use another brand but for now we're sticking with our "homemade" wipes.

And on a GREAT note... Drew slept from 10:30 last night to 7:30 this morning!!!! Yay!!! Since she's so young I'm sure it'll be a while before it happens again but it sure was nice.

POOL PARTY AND SNOW ANGELS

We woke up to some snow this morning and it snowed most of the morning.
Not sure how much we got, maybe a couple inches.

Since there is no way we could lounge in the pool today we decided Emma's barbies could.

(ha! Just noticed the barbie on the toilet on the first floor of the doll house in the picture above. ha!)

After the pool party we headed outside to play in the snow.

She was all about making snow angels.
I bet I have 20 snow angels in my front yard.

SNEAK PEAK!

We went and had pictures done today. We did family pictures and pictures with Emma and Drew. These are the two that I've seen so far and now I can not wait to see the rest.

I think she looks like me in this first picture (especially my baby pictures)... and I would never admit it but it makes me so happy I could just flip!

DREW AND LAYLA'S PLAYDATE

Drew had her first playdate today. My friend, Sarah, brought her little girl, Layla, over. Drew and Layla's due dates were just a day apart but Baby Layla decided to come a few weeks early. She was born 2 weeks before Drew.

It was more of a "sleepdate" than a "playdate" considering neither of them were awake for very long. But they're both pretty cute just doing nothing.

TWO WEEK WELLNESS VISIT

Drew had her 2 week wellness check today.
This was her first doctors appointment.
I couldn't help but snap some pictures of her before we left because she looked so cute!
Couldn't you just eat her up?

She weighed in at 6 lbs 12.2 oz.
Her length is 20.75".
And her head circumference is 34.5cm.

Dr Reddy said she looked perfect...
But I could have already told him that :)

TWINKIES

I ordered Emma and I these matching scarves. She thought she was so cool, she said she looked like a mom.

I had a women's meeting at church tonight and took Baby Drew with me. Andrew and Emma went to eat and to see Yogi Bear at the movies.

And here's precious baby girl all snuggled up in her carseat before we left for church tonight.

BORING BLOG?

My blog is probably becoming pretty boring.

Why?

Because this is just about all I do all day.

I could blog about how many poopy diapers Drew had today or how many times I've watched Abby's Flying Fairy School on Sesame Street but that would really bore you.

But, seriously, aren't they precious?

Well... most of the time.

We don't get out much or do anything that most people would consider exciting but these are the best days of my life.

Pretty boring to most, but quite the opposite for me.

Although, we did venture out today.

Emma went to Ms Tonya's to see her friends. She hasn't been since before Christmas and was really missing them. She was so excited about going.

Drew and I went to Hobby Lobby and then walked the mall.

I took this picture with my phone just because she's so darn cute!

Not that this blog was ever exciting but dont expect it to become exciting now...

STAY TUNED...

Tomorrow we're painting a Tinkerbell suncatcher!! I can feel your excitement.

A WEEK IN REVIEW

TUESDAY 12/28/10

We had a baby!!!

Drew Alivia joined the world!

We arrived at the hospital at 5am to be induced.
They started me on an iv and I was on pitocin by 6:30am.
Dr Gates came in a little after 7am and said he'd be back around 9 to break my water.
I was surprised because I didn't expect him to be in until mid morning- little less break my water by 9!!
And wow was my pitocin working.
I went from 2cm (what I was when I first got to the hospital) to a 4 1/2 then to a 9 1/2 all within hours.
Baby Drew was in a hurry!

I had my epidural early so I was a happy gal!

She was out with one contraction and 2 pushes.
Lucky me!!

Drew Alivia Rogers
born 11/28/10

6 lbs 10 oz
20 1/2 inches

Pretty perfect!

After holding Baby Drew and making sure everyone was healthy Daddy went to get Big Sister Emma so she could meet Drew.
Here's Emma pushing the button that played the lullaby for sissy throughout the hospital.

And Emma holding Baby Sister for the first time... precious!

Feeling pretty blessed... our completed family.

Then it was time to open presents. Emma brought 2 gifts for Drew and Drew had a couple gifts for Emma as well.

Wednesday 12/29/10

Andrew and Emma came bright and early to the hospital.
They were ready to bring Baby Drew home.

Emma and Drew in their matching outfits.
Baby Drew is a lot smaller than we thought she'd be.
The outfit that I brought for her to wear home was way too big.
I had to roll her sleeves up 3 times.

We left the hospital around noon and headed home.

Emma was wore out and fell asleep on the way home.

We had some visitors that afternoon.
Lots of cousins ready to meet the newest grandbaby.

Thursday 12/30/10

Andrew's mom brought his Grandma Golden for a visit Thursday morning.

We spent the rest of the morning lounging.
Then Emma spent the rest of the day hanging out with her older cousins at Pirate Pete's.

Friday 12/31/10

We had our first "outing". We went to my parents to do Christmas with my parents and sisters' and their families.

We opened gifts.

Lots of gifts!

Took pictures of all the grandbabies.

And played a little Dance Party on the Wii.

We haven't been up to much on Saturday or Sunday.
Mainly hanging out at home.
Andrew and Emma went to church Sunday morning but I kept Drew home, we'll go next week.
Drew and I met everyone at Tequila's after church then we took her to the mall for a quick trip to Target.
