I've been MIA for a couple weeks. We've been nonstop for 2 weeks it seems like... pageants (not Emma), weddings, concerts, ball games, work picnics, visit from MeMaw AND STITCHES.
Last Monday I got a call from Ms Tonya saying that Emma had fell onto a scooter. She said she thought it probably needed stitches but wasn't sure. I left work immediately and had Drew pick her up and meet me at the doctor's office. Dr Reddy took a look and said she needed one stitch. Since it was only one stitch he said he wouldn't numb the area. OUCH!! I held her on my lap and held her head back against my chest while Drew held her feet and the nurse had her arms. It was pitiful. After one stitch Dr. Reddy said she needed another one. So we repeated the process. Again, no fun! We left the doctor's office and headed straight to ToysRUs to pick out a new toy. Then it was home to lay on the couch and watch TV all afternoon.

I took her on Friday to have them removed (actually only one removed because one had fell out) but Dr Reddy said he wanted to wait a few more days for it to heal a little better. We scheduled an appointment for today (1 week after her accident) to have the stitch removed.

It was a little dramatic today when he took the stitch out. She had had just about enough of Dr Reddy and was not going to let him look at her. I had to hold her little head while he took it out with her screaming. But it's finally over! It has to feel so much better to her to have that annoying stitch out.

Dr Reddy said there may be a little scar from her cut. He recommended Mederma so we picked some up on our way home today. Hopefully the Mederma will work and a few months from now it'll look like nothing happened.
***I'm 27 weeks today. I plan on posting a new belly picture post tomorrow... just a day late.***
